Mexican American
From Georgia
As we grow older, taking charge of our personal legends takes more than courage. It takes blind faith in ourselves, our convictions, and our dreams. Creative Soul, Mia Galaviz is here to inspire us with her music to take control of the steering wheel and recognize our full potential, unapologetically.
Mia Galaviz is a singer-songwriter from Georgia. Her style is Progressive Soul, R&B, and Pop, though she wants to freely express herself, being known for her passion for music and not the type of genre she does. Born of Mexican descent parents Mia is proud of her ancestral roots. She wants to represent the Mexican-American community to break the limitations set in the music industry for women, especially when they come from a certain background and culture. Through her creations, Mia shares their diversity, tastes, colors, and sounds.
Performing has always felt like home for Mia, however, this was not the case growing up. Shrinking herself since little, she felt too shy to let loose the artist within. Coming from a rigid background, Mia has been detaching herself from religious and societal conditionings, slowly building herself up to break barriers that have kept her hiding away.
About three years ago, Mia took her first steps in the music world, working with musicians, recording vocals, and writing songs, something that felt natural to her, making her feel fulfilled as an artist. It was then that a friend named Sean Dee encouraged her to pursue a career in music, but shy Mia was in the driver’s seat, and it took a few full moons for her to feel confident enough to take a leap of faith.
Mia’s last big achievement was her single, Going Nuts, with none other than Billy Decker, who came to her rescue to mix and master the song. Mia met Billy during the Drill Down Level Up conference in Sandestin, Florida, by First Note Play Entertainment, where she astonished everyone, receiving amazing feedback on her music.
Mia has a unique energy, and she knows that. She knows her potential and she’s ready to share her treasures with the world. She explains that “no one sees everything she has going on in her brain, just the outer shell that reveals beauty but not the depth of the profundity of her feelings, emotions, intentions…”
Mia is now full of confidence, and she’s ready to shine the colors of her Creative Soul and make us dance and smile with her songs. She’s here to create, accept herself, inspiring others to be authentic. And she’s just getting started.
